This holiday i've missed quite a number of trips. Nevertheless i'm compensated well with a 4 days 3 nights trip to my uncle's place @ christmas island. I've been really fortunate to visit this bizzare island with its many unique attractions and breathtaking sight seeings.
Christmas island is basically an island dwelled by 1500+ islanders that comes from 3 races consisting of chinese, malays and europeans. This one of a kind island is belonged to Australia, nearer to Singapore but very far from Australia mainland. To know why this island belongs to Australia, i'd recommend whoever of you who is reading now to google it, too bad there is too much of a history about Christmas island due to political issues and dispute so bear with it if i can't provide you history lessons.
I found that christmas island is a must visit place to all hardcore travellers out there. Why i say so? Truth is ,this island is the only island in the whole world that has this...
Take that word back if you think this is nothing to you haha! By the way, this is called the annual breeding migration of red crabs. This fenomena takes place on the beginning of wet season( November/ December ) where the adult crabs suddenly begin a spectacular migration from the forest to the coast to mate, and release eggs to the sea. They usually roam around the surface of the island in an army of millions like nobody's business. Magnificent huh?
Here's something informative yet gruesome...
Ok laaa, now let the pictures do the talking. This is my 'epic' journey throughout the 4 days @ christmas island. Enjoy~~!
