FEEL the CHI

not this type of 'chi'...

It’s all about chi
chi is everything
all is chi
chi is energy
the universal force of all
everything is chi
you are chi
air is chi
space is chi
it varies in activity from place to place
you are slow moving chi
fire is dynamic chi
we are chi, walking through an infinite field of chi
like a massive eternal ocean of energy, distributed unevenly.
chi is good
feel the chi
love the chi
be the chi
chi is perfect
breath the chi
hear the chi
taste the chi
FEEL the chi
deep
feel the chi
relax

P.S Lol, whenever i use the word chi, i'll surely remember my form 5 add maths teacher who kept telling us the significance of chi. Funny part is, she always start off the class with a moment for us to grasp some chi. According to her, chi can help us relax our mind and revitalize our thinking ability. Same thing apply to my condition now, i'm gonna face mid term test in 1 or 2 weeks time and i think it's best now to comprehend the significance of chi by doing my revision now and most importantly relax during the process. So guys, 'releeaak' lah!!

My CNY

Happy Rat Year!!!

My Cny this year is quite spectacular i think, in a way finally all of my family relatives get to gather back in Penang after a number of years of absence there. Albeit celebrating Cny nowadays is not as fun as my kiddo times but it can be meaningful depending on how you wanted everything to turn out as the power is always in your hands.

CNY me.

This year's Cny is quite a decent one to me when i started snapping loads of pics during the moments i had with everyone and everything. Compared to the recent years, i hardly remember how i've celebrated Cny as it is always similar throughout those many past years with not much of a pic to reminiscent moments i had before. Therefore, i can guarantee this year's Cny shall be a memorable one to me and also a commendable one.

CNY Eve

As usual on this particular day every year, i had reunion dinner with my relatives on my father's side. Everyone was excited i guess, because mum's doing all the cooking all by her ownself. I'd say my family and relatives were lucky to taste my mum's cooking because her dishes were authentic, heavenly and undoubtedly tasty. As she was always on the go towards cooking, i'm lucky to say again i'll have another opprtunity to taste better dishes.

Of course, to start off with our makan we had 'yee sang'.
Made by mum also geng huh?

'Lou ah lou'!! 'Dai Ga Fat Choi Ar...!!!"

After makan.

Friends and us siblings gamble upstairs.

Damn!!! i lost about 50 bucks playing blackjack. With such terrible luck, i gave up immediately.

There!!! An amateur alcoholic(my cousin sis) drunk after few glasses of wine. Damn!!! she's on my bed.

Kids playing fire crackers outside my house.

Humans at my residence.

Fire crackers to a new year!!!

Yeh, we visited 'Tian Hou Gong' after midnight.

Lining up to get sprinkled with holy water by monks and to molest touch the buddha statue on stage for blessing.

Lining up for a taste of holy water.

CNY Day 1

Woke up unexpectedly early today. Took bath and put on our new clothes that has to be red, which signifies good luck during CNY season...i think. Been given ang pao by both mum and dad. Greeted each other courteously and off we go to grandma's house.

Ah Ma

Getting ready to pray to the gods with the joss sticks.

We had our lunch at Ah ma's house and later on we cousins adjourned to GSC midvalley to watch 'Kung Fu Dunk' starring Jay Chou. Honestly, i didn't really like that movie. Stunts by Jay Chou were so ridiculous. Imagine a height of his making such explosive dunk. Thats really absurd! Perhaps thats what made the movie a little out of my taste. However, i think Jay Chou has quite improved his acting skills which is a credit to the movie.

We had our dinner later in the evening and off we go to my mama's place at Penang. We'd departed from home about 9pm and reached our destination 3 hours later which is 12am. It was quite a smooth journey back to our hometown as most of the people in KL had gone back to their hometown few days before. I was delegated to the task of driving so it's a no sleep for me :( Anyway, it was a good experience of long distance driving. At least my family had trusted me with my driving skills hehe.

Here are some pics of our 4 days at Penang. Not many but those pics meant a lot though.

Cousins.

Fire crackers during the night.

Our family relatives reunion here at Penang is one that i've long waited. It's great where relatives can get together to celebrate a merry festive season. Somehow there's an issue that i couldn't get over with. It's kinda funny sometimes when we cousin get along. Guys normally don't really get a long with girls. Thats's really hilarious! Maybe all this while since our younger age, we had not really mixed around well. Hopefully for the years to come we can visit Penang anually so that we cousins could blend with each other.

Coming back from Penang was really torturing while being caught in a massive traffic jam. Initially, the first 30 minutes journey was smooth when mum started saying how lucky we were to depart from Penang to KL late in the midnight. The next 30 minutes was horrendous. We were caught in a terrible jam all the way from Perai to Alma if i'm not mistakened. How ironic.

Apparently there was a terrible accident ahead at Alma. We happened to witness an overturned car caught in raging fire while firemen trying to put out fire that spreaded to the greenery hills.

Here's one blur photo i took with my 0.3 megapixels phone camera.

Not really clear. Just a glimspe.

I guess the driver must have speeded at the slow moving car lane attempting to overtake the slower cars, unfortunately lost control while hitting the slope of the hill which gave it a wonderful overturned position with blazing fire upon it.

Haiz, why people just couldn't drive safely while attempting sucidal stunts that aint so cool. Why on earth do they wanna devastate their lives just like that? So people! please be rational and drive safely for your the sake of your fragile life.

Damn, we took 5 hours to finally get our ass home. Swt!

CNY Day 8

Yeah it's Day 8 of Cny today also they day where we Chinese especially Hokkiens and Teo Chews offer prayers to the Jade Emperor of Heaven. It is said that the ninth day was supposed to be the Jade Emperor's birthday. Hence, come midnight on the eighth day it is a customary for us Hokkiens to offer our prayers to the lord.

As usual, mum the pity one had to force herself to cook again for tonight's dinner as dad has invited his colleagues to our house tonight.

Dad's colleagues lou sang session.

Preperation.

Saw that uncle? A manager who has 0% knowledge of the law of physics kept complaining about the set up of fire crackers by an ingenious engineer working on it. See? Thats the nature of the contemporary world right now! People who are slightly leveraged gets to bising around but not taking own initiative. I bet he's afraid of even going near the fire crackers.

The sucessful bomber.

Fortunately our residence had our own lion dance team. Most of them were little kids but they were full of enthusiasm towards their performance. It's great to have kids with positive attitude towards their passion for lion dancing while respecting the sport. Perhaps in the near future, they'll emerge as champions in lion dancing.

CNY Day 10

And yeah this CNY, finally i had time to spare with my buddies. Though i was so fking tired after a futsal game at setapak but i insisted in hanging out with them later. Had to take lrt and bus all the way home from setapak. Then, i stopped by the bus stop outside mel's house while waiting for her to give me a ride home. Ty lou yao oh!!! if it wasn't you i have no idea how am i gonna walk back from ioi bus stop to my house. After refreshing myself, both of us got back to her house. While waiting for mel to get ready, i thought of having a short nap but her cutey doggy spikey just wouldn't stop disturbing me >.> After that gonna force myself to drive us to Yunnz house to pick her up. It's about 7pm by the time 3 of us reached ss2. We went round searching for place to dine. We'd finally stopped by at Swensens.

^.^

My besties.

Wei Luck dropped by the restaurant to meet us moments later. We shared an earthquake ice cream together. How sweet of us sharing a bowl of ice cream hehe. After a fullfilling dinner we dropped by luck's house to wish his parents Gong Xi Fa Cai while waiting to be given red packets. That's a must!! ma...We left luck's house an hour later to mel's house again to PARTAY!!!

Card game.

whoever lost drinks a glass of black label.

Finally i lost! Oh my i'm losing my mind.

Luck has no luck today.

weird stuff we did together.

wooh i'm high!

i c u ; u c me

me and luck.

finally a decent one.

I guess that's all for my CNY. Fun isn't it?

Actually i've heard some friends around me complaining about their CNY celebration being not as fun as they expected to be. Some even compared among their friends on how astounding the amount of money they got. True enough, the red packet of money is a symbolization of prosperity, values and happiness to give to a younger relative. In other words, it is a form of sharing that tries to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Somehow i think young adults like us should have different perspectives on a single issue. They should more or less understand the values of CNY celebration rather than treating it as a golden opportunity for one self to hunt for red packets. Personally, i think that CNY is a golden opportunity for people to prioritize their family relationship by adjusting it better. In fact, CNY celebration is about gratitude, sharing, caring, appreciation, respect, love, frienship and lots and lots of joy. Therefore, i'd like to urge all my peers out there to always implement good values on yourself and always see things differently by prioritizing proper values you can learn from.
