My Passion, My Pride

All this while when i flash back to my high school years, it has just been a wonderful journey for me where i've found many interests that i just wouldn't believe on my capability and passion for them. My high school years has taught me an abundance of lessons on learning to take a big leap forward for whatever i sought for, being calm and determine for being able to outrun myself and to boost my self confidence in either ways. Most of it i learnt it from sports and i'm really grateful to be gifted with talents that came from my instincts to enable myself to distinguish myself.

Along my self discovery journey during my high school years, it has just been great for me to be given an opportunity to take part in altheletic events, most of it running. One which i found that suits me best is long runs. I wouldn't say i'm really good at it considering the toughness of this sport and by comparing other sports that i've undergone. Marathon is simply a versatile sport that requires soft skills like strong mental toughness, determination, perseverence and a small percentage of techniques for one to be fit for it. For that reason, i wouldn't stop running which i love most, not in a melancholy way running away from problems but in an optimistic and healthy way to build up stronger genes and to enhance my versatility.

Well, that's enough for my past.

On the 29th of June 2008 a typical Sunday, i've finally leaped out from my nerdy life in UTAR to smell some enthusiasm in marathon and also to loose some weight in the 2008 Olympic Day Run, an annual event sponsored by McDonalds. It's great to have my coursemates joining me in this event both with the same purpose to achive our goals.

the morning breeze at Dataran Merdeka.

Yay i'm the 1st to reach the finishing line!

Dare challenge us?

My fellow coursemates.

My popping 'guru' Joshua.

Half-naked Chao.

The end.

p.s: Running for me is like giving me life lessons. Always strive hard for whatever you do. Whatever the result is doesn't matter. What matters the most is what you've thought and learnt during the process that polishes you as you try to figure out your problems and that's what brings out the success in you.

My Next Marathon : ADIDAS KING OF THE ROAD. It's time to conquer roads. HOORAH!!!

Congratz for being the first...

Yeah, i like running too.. I feel that running can be likened to hill climbing, whereby we not only need strong stamina and some skills of it, we still need strong determination, perseverance, etc. Mostly importantly both give us a sense of accomplishment when we reach the finishing line/the peak of hill. Somehow this actually pushes me forward to face the challenges in my life more positively..

Haha.. i crap too much... =.=||
